Pool Renovations

How often should I resurface my pool?

Most pools need to be resurfaced every 10–15 years, depending on the type of finish and how well the pool has been maintained. Over time, the surface can become rough, stained, or start to deteriorate due to constant exposure to water, chemicals, and Florida’s sun. If you notice discoloration, peeling, cracks, or a rough texture on the pool surface, it may be time to consider resurfacing. A professional inspection can help determine the best time to restore your pool and keep it looking and performing its best.

The cost of pool resurfacing depends on the pool size and the type of finish selected, as well as the condition of the existing pool. Adding deck renovation will also change the cost.

Hardscapes

What is hardscaping?

Hardscaping refers to the non‑living elements of outdoor design, such as pavers, stone, marble, travertine, walkways, patios, pool decks, and driveways. These materials add structure, beauty, and long-term durability to outdoor spaces.

What materials do you offer?

Common options include:

  • Concrete Pavers – versatile, durable, cost‑effective. Most common.
  • Travertine — natural stone, stays cool, ideal for pool decks
  • Marble — luxury finish, elegant look, premium durability
  • Porcelain pavers — modern, low‑maintenance, stain‑resistant

Each material has different benefits depending on the project.

How long does a deck renovation take?

A typical project can take from 1 to 3 weeks. Many factors affect this, including materials availability, weather and complexity of the scope. One thing we cannot control that may affect the timeline is any permitting required. While we make every effort to submit documents immediately after contract signing, HOA’s and local city / county government offices can sometimes be delayed in approving the plans.

Do you offer any other hardscape solutions besides decks?

Due to our expertise in hardscapes, we can also convert your driveways and walkways to beautiful concrete pavers.

How long does installation take?

The time to complete projects depends on the total size and complexity of the work. Most can be completed in 2-5 days. This does not include any permitting time required as we cannot predict how long it will take to receive permission from HOA’s and city / county permitting offices.

What is the installation process?

Typical steps include:

  • Excavation and removal of old material
  • Base preparation with crushed stone
  • Compaction for stability
  • Laying pavers or stone
  • Final Inspection

Pricing depends on:

Do cement pavers, marble, or travertine require sealing?
  • Concrete pavers:Recommended every 2–3 years for color protection and stain resistance.
  • Travertine: Sealing is recommended to protect against spills and enhance color.
  • Marble: Sealing helps maintain shine and prevent etching.

Sealing also helps prevent mold and algae in humid climates like Florida.

Can pavers handle vehicle weight?

What are the benefits of pavers over concrete?
  • Easier to repair (replace individual pieces)

Screen Enclosures / Lanais

What is rescreening?

Rescreening is the process of removing old, damaged, or worn-out screen mesh from your existing enclosure and replacing it with new, durable screen material. It restores visibility, airflow, and protection from insects without rebuilding the entire structure.

What is the difference between rescreening and new screen installation?
  • Rescreening replaces only the mesh on an existing frame.
  • New screen installation includes building a brand‑new structure or adding screens to an area that has never been enclosed before.

Both options improve comfort and usability, but new installations allow for custom layouts, upgraded materials, and design changes.

What types of screens do you offer?

Common screen options include:

  • Standard fiberglass — affordable and flexible
  • Polyester / premium mesh — stronger and longer lasting
  • No‑See‑Um screen — tighter weave for tiny insects
  • Pet‑resistant screen — thicker mesh for pets
  • Privacy screen — reduces visibility from outside
  • Solar screen — blocks UV rays and reduces heat
How long does rescreening take?

Most rescreening projects take 1 day, depending on:

  • Size of the enclosure
  • Number of panels
  • Type of screen selected

New screen installations typically take 1–3 days, depending on design and structure.

Do you repair damaged frames?

Yes. If your aluminum frame has bent rails, loose screws, or damaged doors, repairs can be completed during the rescreening process. Structural repairs may require additional time or materials.

How do I maintain my new screens?
  • Rinse screens gently with a hose
  • Avoid pressure washing
  • Trim plants away from the enclosure
  • Check for loose screws or hardware annually
How much does rescreening cost?

Pricing depends on:
